The Halo series has tried the oval shaped, vehicle centered map design in many iterations, but none is more memorable than the wooded racetrack circuit Exile. Halo Infinite could offer a map with a similar layout but updated bases and a reimagined look (Like how the blue frozen Flood lab Lockout became an arctic outpost at sunset in the Halo Master Chief Collection). This doesn’t even mention the thrill of the individual bases, featuring underground tunnels and mysterious fog on the lower level. Spartan veterans will quickly nab the invisibility, pick up the sniper rifle, and hop into a tree to smoke the other team from afar. Bisecting the entire map is a natural rock bridge where the all-powerful SPNKr Rocket Launcher sits. A tranquil brook swims through the center of the map, and the landscape is interspersed with trees, tall grass and boulder cover. In Halo CE, Battle Creek was easily one of the most naturally abundant multiplayer maps. The simple symmetrical structure made this map an easy pick for vicious rounds of Capture the Flag or Team Slayer. Battle Creek has the two base formula perfected in Blood Gulch, on a more claustrophobic landscape. Or as it was known in Halo 2, Beaver Creek.

One of the most enthralling aspects of Halo multiplayer is the terrific selection of multiplayer maps. Of course, it’s the hyperactive, adrenaline seizing Halo multiplayer that keeps the masses hooked, and the upcoming Halo Infinite will likely be no different. Learning the terrifying origins of the Flood, bravely fighting to the death during the Fall of Reach, and racing against the Covenant to stop the firing of the Halo rings these are all stories that will always be remembered within the bullet-ridden hearts of Halo fans. Halo: The Master Chief Collection releases Novemfor Xbox One.The Halo series features some of the most fleshed out, compelling universes of any video game that puts a gun in your hand and directs you to kill all enemies on sight. Warlock is a worthy choice for the upgrade treatment, but its inclusion may have eliminated some personal favorites from the mix. Even without these six maps, the Collection was looking plenty packed with content – from every story mission to every multiplayer map – but 343 has sought to sweeten the pot a little further for fans. Now that the six upgraded maps for Halo: The Master Chief Collection have been revealed, we have a clearer picture as to what the package will include. That's likely because Max Hoberman, one of the original designers for Halo 2's multiplayer, has brought his Certain Affinity team onboard to help with these upgrades. But Halo fans will be pleased to see that most of Warlock's make-up has been well preserved. Obviously, the map has received a much need upgrade for the Xbox One, complete with an ominous green beam of light in the center. Check out IGN's official reveal video below: It was a fairly self-contained map with few hiding spots, which made combat all the more chaotic. Some will remember that Warlock was actually a remake of the Halo 1 map Wizard, and was offered as a DLC add-on for Halo 2. Like the other Halo 2 maps, Warlock has now been reimagined as Warlord but the feel of the multiplayer arena is still the same. And today the studio revealed their final Halo 2 remastered multiplayer map: Warlock. So far, 343 has announced five of the six maps - Coagulation, Ascension, Sanctuary, Lockout, and Zanibar. Not only that, though, they've also taken six of Halo 2's most iconic maps and completely upgraded and modernized them for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. With Halo 2, for example, 343 is rolling out their Anniversary treatment yet again, updating Bungie's seminal sequel for current-gen platforms. Developer 343 Industries has ensured that every element from the past four Master Chief adventures makes the jump with no quality lost in fact, they've sought to improve upon those prior games in some pretty significant ways. While Halo: The Master Chief Collectionisn't exactly the brand new Halo adventure that many fans had hoped would release this fall, it's still no slouch either.
